Privacy Policy

Dhahabi (ذهبي) displays live gold and silver prices in Saudi Arabia. The app is free, with an optional subscription (Dhahabi Premium) that unlocks extra features. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains exactly what we collect and what we don't.

What we collect

We collect the minimum data needed to operate push notifications:

• Push token (FCM Token) — automatically generated by Firebase and stored on our Supabase server. Used only to deliver notifications you requested. It contains no name, email, or personal identifiers.
• Price alerts — if you create a price alert (e.g. "notify me when 21K reaches 480 SAR"), we store the karat, target price, direction (above/below), and active status. This is not linked to any personal identity.

Analytics & Diagnostics

Dhahabi uses Google Firebase to understand how the app is used and to keep it stable:

• Firebase Analytics — collects anonymous usage data such as app opens, screens viewed, session length, and in-app actions (for example, creating a price alert or sharing a price card), along with a device identifier and general device information (model, OS version, country derived from IP). Used only to measure and improve the app.
• Firebase Crashlytics — collects crash reports and diagnostic data when the app encounters an error, so we can fix problems.
• Firebase Performance Monitoring — collects performance data such as app start time and network request speed.

This data is not linked to your real-world identity (the app has no login), is not sold, and is not used to track you across other apps or websites for advertising. It is processed by Google as described in Google's Privacy Policy.

What we do NOT collect

• No name, email address, or phone number
• No user accounts or login
• No precise location data
• No advertising or data sharing with marketing parties
• No tracking across other apps or websites
• We never see your payment data — all purchases are handled by Apple (see “Subscriptions & Payments”)

Third-party services

• Supabase — stores push tokens and price alert preferences
• Firebase Cloud Messaging — delivers push notifications only
• Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics & Performance Monitoring — anonymous usage analytics, crash reports, and performance data
• metals.dev — source of live gold, silver, and currency exchange-rate data

None of these services receive personally identifiable information from you.

Notifications

All notifications are fully optional. You can enable or disable them at any time from the app's Settings tab or from your device Settings. Notification types:

• Daily price summary (you choose the time and karat)
• Personal price alert when gold crosses a target you set
• Movement alert when gold moves ≥1.5% in a single day

Subscriptions & Payments

The app offers an optional subscription (Dhahabi Premium) with monthly, yearly, and one-time lifetime plans, unlocking extra features such as the gold portfolio and silver prices.

• All payments and billing are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never receive, store, or have access to any card or payment details.
• No account is required — purchases are tied to your Apple account.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from your Apple account settings.
• Your portfolio data (your gold holdings, weights, and purchase prices) is stored only on your device and is never uploaded to our servers or any third party.

Data Retention

We retain your push token and price alerts for as long as the app remains installed on your device. When you uninstall the app or disable notifications in your device settings, the push token becomes invalid and is removed from our servers within 30 days.

Your Rights

Because we don't store any personally identifying information, there is no account for you to delete manually. To remove your data from our servers, uninstall the app from your device — your token will be cleaned up automatically. For inquiries or to request immediate deletion, contact us at the email below.

Children's Privacy

This app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with any data, please contact us and we will delete it immediately.

Disclaimer

Gold prices shown are raw spot prices and do not include dealer spreads or workmanship fees. This app is for informational purposes only and does not constitute financial or investment advice.

Regulatory Compliance

We adhere to Saudi Arabia's Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and handle your data in accordance with international privacy standards.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced inside the app before they take effect.
